Balyan is a personal project loosely inspired by the Filipino Classic, El Filibusterismo.

The story centers around this girl named "Dayang" who wishes to study in the only magic school in their place, who only accepts male students.

The shadow exploration is both for Dayang, and the other female characters in the story.

Cedric

Cedric is the main character of an upcoming animation written and directed by Kenji Gathecha.

Description of the character:
Cedric is blind because of cataracts in both his eyes. He is a bit hunched over and walks with a cane. He is having a hard go at life since the love of his life passed away 5 years ago. There is sadness in his eyes.

Cedric still goes to visit his late wife's grave everyday and brings her flowers. He is kind to every single person he meets on his dally trips to the flower-shop and the cemetery. He always has a smile on his face. He wears the same style of sweater. A warm fuzzy looking sweater.
